Introducing myself, My name is Darragh Cole and i am from Kells in Meath. I am 21 years old and have a great interest in Creative Digital Media, I done my leaving cert in 2016 and i did absolutely crap because I didn’t try hard enough and I didn’t know what i wanted at the time. In secondary school, I wasn’t into art at all and i actually never done art as a subject but i always used to draw and keep sketchbooks but it wasn’t until i took 2 years out and i found out what i wanted to, when I had finally made my mind up i started to look for courses that would suit me and i found one course that had quite low requirements and i ended up getting a place on the course!That course was in Dunboyne College and it was in 2018, I ended up doing really well in that course and that’s how i am here today! The course was quite similar and i was able to learn a lot within that one year and i really found that i had an interest in this type of course so thats what made me want to do this one, i am loving it so far! When i complete this course i would love to pursue my dreams of becoming a professional graphic designer/illustrator and i think this course will help me get there. In any free time i have i am always drawing or creating something.

Recently i just started a YouTube page where I’m going to start uploading regularly, the videos will be focused around the process of the drawings/illustrations i create.
I also started up an instagram page to advertise that i do graphics and illustrations! I gained over 200 followers and i have had a few customers so far that wanted me to do work for them and they were happy with the results.

Hopefully i can pick up many more skills and interests within the next few years of doing this course.

Second mission: Culture

Second mission: Culture .  For this mission i chose to do YouTubing as it is one of my interests and i spend a lot of my free time watching YouTube videos. I thought this was a great opportunity to create my own channel that would be focused around my main hobby which is art, specifically drawing, painting and digital illustration/Graphic Design. For my first upload i chose to do a digital painting and i chose to do a time lapse video that captured everything i done but compressed it down into a short video. The main reason i chose to make a time lapse is because i couldn’t record on my phone with the lack of storage on it and I don’t have a camera, but i am currently saving up for a camera so that will improve the quality of my channel and my videos.
