First Mission: Creativity

Process:

My goals for this mission - For this mission i hope that i can create a presentation thats easy to follow and understand for everyone that reads it. As i am doing the Art of the Animated GIF, i want to have a couple of slides with some popular GIFs that most people will know and i hope that will keep their interest into my presentation.

The end product i hope to produce - By the end of this mission i hope to have produced a great powerpoint slideshow that will clearly represent what i am trying to achieve, which is too understand the Art of Animated GIFs. I also hope that when i am presenting it, that it is easy to follow and understand for every type of person.

The resources that helped me along the way - The resources that i used for this mission were the pages that were linked in the mission page, they were under the title Resources and Bibliography.
I found these websites very helpful as they were full of information. I was able to find some very important facts about the history of Animated GIFs.

What i learned along the way - Throughout this mission i learned a lot about GIFs, as i done a lot of research i found so many facts about this topic and so many ineresting things throughout the history of it. When animated GIFs were first made they were very basic 3D animations and now a days in 2019 they are so much more than what they used to be. Its crazy to see how far they have come and how much more popular they are now that what they used to be.
Animated GIFs have come a long way from being embedded into websites and now to having a GIF keyboard on almost every phone and big social media pages have partnered with Giphy and now they are easily accesible to every single user.

PRODUCT:

To create this project i used Microsoft PowerPoint, it was really helpful because it makes it super easy to put together a presentation.
I created GIF’s on my iPad using RoughAnimator.
I embedded GIF’s into the PowerPoint presentation.
I done lots of research into GIFs and the history behind them.
I also got the chance to learn a lot more about GIFs and what was the best way to make them.

For this mission i chose to do it on “Art Of The Animated GIF”
Ill attach a screenshot of what the layout of my presentation looked like.

I created two GIF’s for this mission and this was one of them.
To create this GIF i used an app on my iPad called RoughAnimator and i took around 25 photos of this golden cat ornament which has a moving arm, i it made it look as if it was moving in the GIF.
The way i done this was just by using the best photos that i had captured and combining them on a time line to make the motion in the arm look seamless.

REFLECTION:
Overall i am really happy with the outcome of this mission.
I learned absolutely loads and it was a great experience to get used to these missions!
The way i learned so much was by doing loads of research and actually messing around with different programmes to create gifs.

When creating this mission i found it hard to put in 30 hours of work and that’s just simply because i work literally everyday just so i can afford to go to college so it was hard to balance that and work.
I got it done in the end with definitely 20 hours of work put into it.
I was happy with the outcome of the presentation but there definitely is a lot of room for improvement, i could have put a lot of more time into the GIFs i created but as i said i didn’t have a lot of free time.

If i was to change anything about this work i done it would be to try and manage my time better and put more detail into the GIFs.
